Crumpler Quick Escape 400 – review

With a massive range of camera bags out there, specifically DSLR bags, it can be quite tricky to find a good quality bag that is very low profile and can still carry your camera as well as a few accessories such as memory cards and batteries.

I came across the Crumpler Quick Escape 400 from

Even though this case is for a smaller DSLR such as the Canon 1000D, it fits my Canon 60D with my Tamron 17-50 f2.8 lens quite comfortably.

The bag is built very well and the materials used feels durable and rugged. In fact Crumpler offer you a 30 year guarantee! The adjustable strap and buckle is also good quality.

One thing I wished was different is the width at the bottom, would match the width at the top. If that was the case, then you would be able to fit an iPad mini in the quite comfortably. But this wasn’t crumpler’s intention. This is purely a case for your DSLR and a few small accessories.

There are a few compartments inside to keep your accessories in place and where you need them.

If you want to go out and travel very light with not much more than your camera then this might be the right bag for you.

You can currently pick this bag up for £34.99 from
